A founding member of People Before Profit here in Limerick, heavily involved with the local environmental movement providing support for campaigns that oppose the efforts to turn Limerick and the mid-west into a dumping zone for toxic industries and providing overviews of the health and social harms of data centre expansion.

Stood with the former Debenhams workers in an effort to defend their redundancy and now helping Security workers to organise against efforts to keep their wages below pre-2008 financial crisis levels.

Acted as chair of CATU, the Community Action and Tenants Union, here in Limerick which is helping tenants organise against illegal evictions and enforce tenants rights, with Shannon Arms being the most high profile case but unfortunately these abuses are present all over the city.

As a representative for Limerick City North he is organising people to help them to stand up against the council to make them provide proper maintenance for houses, to deliver on their retrofitting program and develop public spaces so they become a centre of communities instead of an afterthought.
